Thousands displaced due to Taliban offensives in Kandahar

 

KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN-JULY 13: At least thousands were displaced due to the Taliban offensives in the different districts of Kandahar city of Afghanistan, on July 13, 2021. Among the displaced hundreds of families forced to shelter in a mosque​ in the eastern outskirts of the city of Kandahar on Tuesday, as Taliban attacks continue throughout the province. An displacement woman ‘Zakira’ added; We have passed such 5 to 6 days severe conflicts that we could not eat or drink, we could not move around our home, we could just and pray and nothing else, I faced to a lot of hardships such as I left my cows, life and all goods there, we helped and just save ourselves, we suffer hunger here and no water to drink, may God bless these people who brought food, water and all other necessities for us.

First report shows that at least five thousand of the people were displaced from the Kandahar’s seventh district, eight districts including Dand district and Arghandab.
