Thousands displaced amid Taliban advance in Faryab

 

FARYAB, AFGHANISTAN-JULY 17: At least thousands were displaced after the Taliban advance in the northern parts of Faryab, Afghanistan, on July 17, 2021. Around 3,000 were internally displaced due to ‘recent offensives in Faryab province, a spokesperson for the Governor of Faryab Province, Jawed Bidar, said. AFGHAN MULTIMEDIA AGENCY

“Our problems are that conflicts start, we left our villages, I don’t have any food to eat, and I don’t have even a little water, I don’t have something to sell till buy something for me, look this is just land and there is a sky that I have, I have no one who could support me, I demand to deliver us food, and deliver us tea.” Explained, Bibi Latifa, an internally displaced woman.

Azatullah, an internally displaced man added; I have been displaced and come here, I live under this tent, I suffer a lot of hardships. There are a lot of problems we suffer here like we don’t have food; we don’t receive any help from the government yet, we just set under these tents and suffer many problems.

Displaced civilians deplored difficult living conditions in the makeshift camp in Maymana city.
