Taliban eliminates hashish cultivation following opium restriction

An Afghan farmer said, I was not aware of the restrictions on hashish, I grew hashish on at least 2 acres of land, and I spent a lot of money on it, now you can see they have eliminated everything, they have destroyed my cultivations.

Today we have started this campaign and it is unknown when we finish, and we are planning to end cultivations of opium and hashish across Badakhshan. According to reports that we got at least 200 acres of land in Khash district and about 15 acres in the central areas, and 40 acres of land are in Jurm district and 55 acres of land are in Baharak district, Abdi Mohammadi Nasimi, a commander of Information Anti-Narcotics in Badakhshan province.

Mohammad Akram is a farmer who stated, I have grown hashish here in order to get more incomes as the food prices increased, I grow hashish to receive money for seeds such as wheat and fertilization, I grow hashish because it costs more than wheat and beans, it is double expensive.
