Kabul shopkeepers hit hard as currency depreciates amid US withdrawal fears

“All type of objects like foods, and clothes are importing from outside Afghanistan, and the deal exchange by dollars, whenever the US dollar gains value, and Afghani currency drops against dollar, it is natural that it has direct impact on goods prices, and it is how that the laborers, poor, and less income people of Afghanistan suffer a lot.” Commented, Haji Dadgul Hazrati, Deputy of money exchangers association.

Amanullah, an Afghan shopkeeper added; “One reason of the unemployment and rising currencies, the cause is insecurity, there is no security, the traders were invested in the past years but they don’t now, and the foreigners have been gone from this country, as the US left, the trader don’t interested to invest anymore here, one of its reason is insecurity, and it is how the food prices raised.”
