Injured kids treated at Kandahar hospital as UNICEF warns of mounting deaths

An Afghan affected woman said, “He is my nephew. I bring him here. I was sat inside a transportation vehicle to refer the doctor with this kid and his mother and both were injured due to clashes. Her leg was broken, his mother was wounded by her leg, her bone was turned to black and was cut by the doctor.

 

“During the last month due to the clashes around 620 injuries have been referred to the Mirwasi hospital, among the injuries at least 136 kids including women, the 30 people were women and the rest of them were male children”, Dawood Farhad, a Physician at Mirwais regional hospital stated.
